TARGET AUDIENCE
Aimed toward the young public and older generations that are more familiar with Norman Rockwell’s genre defining paintings. The campaign runs with a hashtag and encourages others to place Coca-Cola in paintings of old using the hashtag #whatIwantisacoke
BACKGROUND
Coca-Cola is known for their humor as well as light hearted campaigns as well as more refined campaigns. Utilizing the popularity of Meme culture, it is easy to see how older generations as well as younger ones will be drawn to this campaign. It will run on all social media platforms including Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
DESIGN PROBLEM
To design a believable reproduction of Norman Rockwell paintings with the Coca-Cola bottle.
DESIGN PROCESS
The process began with the choice of a marketable every day consumer item that could be infused with art work. Norman Rockwell with his vast library of work provided both the humor that is echoed in the Coca-Cola brand.
DESIGN SOLUTION
The attention must be on the bottle in all art works with a humorous twist. The bottles have been blended and treated to become cohesive with the scene itself. The Baskerville font below the art work has been chosen to highly resemble the Coca-Cola signature font.
