Women, ages 20 to 40, looking for luxurious, long-lasting, and moisturizing lipstick.
DESIGN PROBLEM
To inspire readers to try the new Clinique Colour Lip Primer using an Adobe Illustrator-made object realism vector image while providing an informative and peppy message about what the lipstick delivers.
DESIGN PROCESS
I researched Clinique ads and page layouts of the brands’ previous advertisements with a focus on the visuals. The color palette was chosen to be fresh and enticing and the copy simple enough for the consumer to read quickly.
DESIGN SOLUTION
The magazine advertisement spread uses the surrounding white space to draw the viewer’s attention to the product and written copy and give a call to action for the reader to go to the company website. Taking branding collaboration and reach further, I predict the inevitable collaboration between Coach and Clinique as inspired by H&M’s many high fashion brands.
